Ready, set, robot!

At our Robotics Makerspace camp, young innovators dive into the exciting world of building and coding with LEGO WeDo, Spike Prime and VEX Robotics kits.
Through fun Olympic-themed challenges like shot put, sprinting, climbing and wrestling, campers will learn to design, build and program their own robots using simple block coding.
Campers will develop problem-solving skills, teamwork and creative thinking. Daily mini-competitions keep their energy high as the young innovators race to build the best-performing bots.
It is the perfect hands-on introduction to robotics and coding, where confidence grows and imagination comes to life!

Exploring with the Lego Spike and VEX kits, campers will enjoy hands-on projects building and programming Robots.
Campers will spend the week brainstorming, building and experimenting with amazing robots, while developing creativity, imagination and problem-solving skills.
Campers will also learn to code using VEX and Spike software and using these coding skills to solve daily challenges.

Our Teachers

SHANE O LOUGHLIN: Head of Robotics & Design

Shane is the Head of Department for Middle School Design at Stamford American International School, with over 12 years of experience in robotics and programming across five countries and five international schools. He has competed and coached teams at major Singapore robotics events, including First LEGO League in 2018 and Null Space LEGO Robotics in 2017.
He has also served as a judge and mentor at numerous innovation and technology events in Singapore, including the Define the Future Conference at UWCSEA, Ideas Hacks Hackathon, New Age Hackathon, and the Nex-Tex Innovation Summit.

DESMOND SEETOH: Robotics & Design Instructor

Desmond teaches Design at Stamford American International School and has led students to multiple robotics championships in Singapore, the United States, and Taiwan. With over a decade of teaching experience and a strong passion for problem-solving, Desmond believes that learning is most effective when it is fun, engaging, and hands-on.

MATT IVES: Lego Robotics & Electronics Makerspace Educator

Matt brings over 15 years of experience teaching elementary school students across New Zealand, Korea, China, and Singapore. He holds a Master of Education in Knowledge Networks and Digital Innovation and is both a Google Certified Innovator and an Apple Certified Teacher. Matt specializes in creating technology-rich, hands-on, and creative learning experiences that inspire curiosity and excitement in young learners.
