Mini DOJO
Our Mini Dojo camp is a practical self-defence class which is fun filled. In this unique programme, each child will learn various martial arts such as Muay Thai, Boxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (NOGI) and Judo. The aim of this approach is to let children experience different types of martial arts and allow them to discover which they like best!
Learning martial arts will improve your body co-ordination. In this camp, children are also taught practical life skills, important values like mental strength, courage, respect for others which translates to being disciplined in life. But rest assured that classes are taught in a fun and engaging way.
Sequenced drills.
To help the child remember the different techniques of programme. The drills will also allow the child to train on their own, as they are designed to improve balance and coordination.
Interaction
The children will train in pairs up to practice the techniques and drills learnt earlier during the lesson. This set-up allows the children to experience each technique and the various ways in which they can work the techniques. While being paired up, children will be encouraged to motivate each other, thus giving them the opportunity to interact and get to know each other better. Each lesson will focus on reviewing previous techniques learnt, on top of the introduction and development of various techniques.
"The movements involved in martial arts will challenge and build motor skills, flexibility, reflexes, and dexterity, which help develop a child’s athleticism"
Born into a family of accomplished combat sports veterans, Darren developed a fiery enthusiasm towards combat sports at an early age. His relentless pursuit for excellence has made him one of the most popular and sought-after instructors in Singapore. With over 40 years of experience in combat sports, Darren has helped many other enthusiasts and professionals find their way to the ring.
As an instructor, Robert focuses on teaching concepts and principles and not merely centred around the techniques. He teaches the why, when and how to execute a technique. His clear and precise explanation allows for easy understanding and makes complex techniques effortless in execution. This approach allows the students to grasp and retain their knowledge more effectively.
