(Ages 14-16)

This "Intensive English" program is a 2-week camp delivered by Stamford American International School's "Preparatory Course for Secondary" (PCS) team.

The main objective of the Intensive English half-day camp is to help all joiners to improve their confidence to communicate, collaborate and participate in academic English classrooms.

The course delivers English language acquisition to children of varying experience and capabilities; whether they've been learning for a while, in need of language continuity over the school holiday, or just starting out.

The language and skills learned through our 2-week program will set campers up for extended and continued success at international schools and provide them a platform to transition into mainstream classes.

The expectations, system and outlook that have found extensive success within the program, help to expand the horizons of learners both in the classroom and later in life.

We are helping to bring English learners from across the globe together through the common goals of making new friends and acquiring academic English.

*Each course is 2 weeks long (Course 1: 14-25 June / Course 2: 28 June to 9 July) and participants must join for the full course (2 back-to-back weeks).

“I cherish studying in the PCS. COVID-19 Safe Management Measures

Each and every camp programme will have its own relevant safe management measures to adhere to. All camps are run within the framework provided by either the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Education (MOE), SportSG or the Singapore Tourism Board.

In addition to this, Camp Asia works closely with the operations teams at our host venue, Stamford American Int’l School, to maintain the integrity of the measures that the school uses during term time.

Dropping Off

Due to COVID-19 requirements, drop-off timings will be staggered between 8.45am and 9am. Your allocated drop-off time will be sent to you in our personalised ‘Parent Information Email’ (sent five days prior to camp).

Our pre-camp morning activities are on hold for the time-being, and children will be brought straight to their venue/classroom after signing in.

We have a full-time nurse on site for every camp week operating from the schools’ health centres. Our nurses are there to administer medication, first aid and support with all COVID-19 reporting, as needed. The nurse is available Monday morning to collect any medications and speak to parents before camp starts. Our Camp Asia team are all first-aid trained.

Healthy Lunch and snacks (cooked fresh daily) are included in the cost of your camp. If your child is a vegetarian, does not or cannot eat beef, pork, seafood, dairy or eggs or has other dietary needs, simply tell us beforehand in your child’s details online. Please also note that Camp Asia has a nut-minimisation policy. As part of COVID-19 Safe Management measures - children will eat in small, fixed groups and we will take guidance from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Ministry of Health (MOH) for anything related to F&B.

Bus Service

We offer a highly convenient, safe, secure and sociable bus service to and from camp, calling at a stop near your home. In line with COVID-19 regulations, buses will be cleaned before and after every journey.
